Our knee kicker is one of the basic carpet laying tools. The adjustable spikes extend down into the carpet base and the operator bumps the unit with his knee to slightly stretch the carpeting. There is a limited range of just how much stretch you can obtain with this so regular rooms generally require a Carpet Stretcher to achieve a greater stretch, resulting in a tighter carpet that won't wrinkle. The knee kicker is designed to be used in tighter areas where the larger stretcher just won't work, such as hallways or closets. It's also used in conjunction with a carpet stretcher to ensure tight corners and to help punch the carpeting down onto tack strips.
