The Pro Cut Masonry Block Saw is a portable saw with a 14" diameter blade capacity. It's powered by a 1-1/2HP electric motor and is capable of running on a 120-volt 20-amp circuit. The legs are removable for compact size when transporting the saw or can be left out if the saw is to be used on a bench or on scaffolding. The sliding table and adjustable cutting head accommodate large concrete block as well as pavers. It can be used wet or dry depending upon the blades used. Abrasive blades are available and can be used for small jobs but they'll cut slower and gradually wear down, and their diameter is reduced as they cut. Most jobs will benefit from using diamond blades, which will yield better results. The narrower cross section allows for faster cutting and the diameter doesn't reduce as you cut, so your depth of cut will be more consistent. Because diamond blades are quite a bit more expensive these are generally rented at a cost of $35.00 per day. The diamond blades used with this saw can be run wet or dry but best results are achieved by cutting wet.

The masonry block saws are fairly heavy so it will take two men to lift them. They fit well in the back of vans, pickup trucks, SUVs, or small trailers but don't go into car trunks. A set of wheels on the back of the saw make it easy to move the saw around the jobsite.

These saws are designed for cutting concrete block and sawable bricks. If the bricks are hardened you will need to use a brick splitter to cut them rather than a saw. These saws are also very popular for sawing of pavers and patio stone.
