When drilling with diamond drills the rig needs to be solidly mounted to the floor. The attached vacuum pump and pads will normally suck it down to the floor and hold it tight. However, there are times when a crack in the floor, a tile joint, or an uneven surface prevent this from happening. Should that occur, there are two alternate methods of securing the drill rig. Mounting slots are provided to install a masonry anchor into the floor or wall and bolt the rig down that way. After you are finished drilling, the anchor is removed and the hole is grouted shut. The other method is to prop it against the ceiling with a post. A threaded adjusting screw is provided for that purpose. If you don't need to go larger than 5" in diameter, our
4" Rotary Hammer may be another option for you. For more information on drilling in concrete feel free to browse our
