The Kohler PRO 7.5 7,500-Watt Generator is a rugged-duty generator set designed to run a large variety of power tools on a construction site. Powered by a 14HP Kohler Command Pro Series engine, it can output 7.5 KW of power to start larger electric motors. At half load the generator will run for 12 hours on its 8 gallon gasoline tank. At 78 dB it's quiet for a 3600 RPM portable generator, but that's for construction site standards. If you're camping or playing music at a party, you will either need to stash this guy pretty far away or else go with our whisper-quiet 10,500 Watt Towable Generator. Its circuit panel features a 30 amp, 120 volt twist-lock receptacle; a 30 amp, 120/240 volt 4 prong twist lock receptacle; and a pair of standard 120 volt duplex receptacles. An auto idle control will let the generator idle down when no load is present and rev back up when the load is applied, saving both fuel and noise output.
